Case Study Analysis Ppaer Essay
Presentation various issues were made during the ongoing recruiting process. This contextual investigation is an endeavor to distinguish and prescribe approaches to improve this procedure. From the data that has been gotten, I accept that an absence of representative experience and an absence of earlier arranging and follow up brought about an inability to achieve all the assignment important to enlist the new workers in an opportune manner. ?Foundation Carol Robins, another grounds enrollment specialist for ABC, Inc. , toward the beginning of April he had the option to enlist 15 new students who were bound to work for Monica Carrolls,â the tasks director. From the meetings that were directed, apparently Carl couldn't achieve the entirety of the errands essential with the goal that the fresh recruits could start work. These assignments included documentation, sedate testing, material groundwork for the direction, and office planning. Monica Carrolls contacted Carl on May 15 concerning his procedure with the employing procedure. Different representatives had neglected to keep the paper duplicate of the ace direction manual current with the goal that it tends to be immediately replicated. Another factor shows up the fast development of the organization. Options With more than one issue a significant spotlight on various Solutions, for example, Prior arranging via Carl could have disposed of a portion of the issues; in any case, Carlââ¬â¢s in experience would presumably still have come about in there being a few issues. The organization has neglected to give generally unpracticed workers, as Carl, with extensive systems and employment rehearses. Under the subject of oversight, Monica Carrolls could have reached all the more frequently with Carl. In any case, her activity, as tasks director, does exclude his oversight. Another answer for the management issue could be to expand the staff in the HR division. Be that as it may, on assessment this doesn't give off an impression of being the most effective arrangement because of the expanded expenses. Another arrangement is keep up the ace ââ¬Å"New Employee Orientationâ⬠manual in electronic configuration. Having the manual in electronic structure takes into account simple refreshing of the approach and strategies, and forestalls accidental misfortune or harm to that archive. This strategy is financially savvy and effortlessly actualized. ?Proposed Solutions. A ââ¬Å"New Employee Checklistâ⬠will be made with all pre-utilized assignments recorded on it. ?The ââ¬Å"Employee Orientationâ⬠manual will be kept up in an electronic organization. ?A portion of the pre-work errands will turn into the duty of the likely representatives to achieve. Potential representatives will report when the undertakings have been finished. An individual from the human asset staff will affirm that the errand has been finished accurately. ?Representatives like, Carl Robins, will be required to submit week by week reports specifying the present status of every expected worker. ?Proposals New representatives are the main way crafted by this association gets cultivated. Everybody endeavors to support the proceeded with development and benefits of this organization can't be overlooked. With the proceeded with development of the organization the proposed arrangements that the worker will make on that day may should be adjusted as the organization increases. I would suggest that an intermittent audit of the recruiting procedure; searching for approaches to improve it. And furthermore a survey ought to be done on a yearly premise.

Writing a Reference Letter (With Examples)
Composing a Reference Letter (With Examples) Composing a Reference Letter (With Examples) Composing a Reference Letter (With Examples) By Ali Hale Sooner or later throughout everyday life, youââ¬â¢re very likely must compose a reference letter for somebody. It may be a previous worker or understudy, or even a family companion. Hereââ¬â¢s what you have to think about the reason for reference letters and how to compose the best letter conceivable. Note: I will utilize ââ¬Å"candidateâ⬠to allude to the individual who the reference letter is about, ââ¬Å"youâ⬠to allude to the individual composing the reference letter, and ââ¬Å"recipientâ⬠to allude to the individual getting the letter. Iââ¬â¢ll underline here, however, that reference letters are not just for occupation or scholastic ââ¬Å"candidatesâ⬠, itââ¬â¢s only a convenient term to use to keep this article direct! What is a reference letter and when are they utilized? A reference letter is generally composed to vouch for an individual or (sporadically) a companyââ¬â¢s abilities, character as well as accomplishments. Some of the time a reference letter is known as a ââ¬Å"recommendation letterâ⬠. It is a proper archive, and ought to be composed and written in a genuine and efficient style. Reference letters are utilized in a wide assortment of circumstances; there is no authoritative rundown that covers every conceivable situation. The most well-known models are: At the point when a competitor goes after a position, they may require a reference to help their application. In the event that an interviewee is given a bid for employment, they may need to flexibly a reference letter before the agreement can be agreed upon. An understudy applying for a scholarly course regularly requires a reference letter to help their application. An understudy applying for financing will regularly need to flexibly reference letters. Organizations may utilize reference letters as declarations to their reliability and capacity to do some work well. Imminent occupants may need to give their proprietor a reference letter, vouching for their great money related status. (This could be from an earlier proprietor or from a present business.) Who ought to compose a reference letter? In the event that you are drawn closer and approached to compose a reference letter for work up-and-comer, an understudy or an organization, consider whether you can really do as such. A reference letter is a proper archive, and it is vital that you don't lie or fudge reality in it, or there could be lawful repercussions. In the event that somebody needs a reference letter from you: The competitor ought to be somebody you know sensibly well. For instance, you can't give any definitive remark on the scholarly capacity of an understudy whoââ¬â¢s just been going to your talks for seven days. You should know the up-and-comer in a limit which enables you to compose an important reference. For instance, on the off chance that you have worked with the individual, it would be proper for you to compose a reference letter to a forthcoming boss for them. You ought to have the option to give a genuine and positive reference. On the off chance that you genuinely feel that the up-and-comer has a whole lot of nothing characteristics for you to accentuation, or on the off chance that you have had a character conflict with them previously, you should instruct them to look for a reference letter from another person. What goes into a reference letter? The specific structure of a reference letter will contrast somewhat relying upon the sort of reference it is, yet this is a decent fundamental diagram: Begin utilizing the business letter position: put the recipientââ¬â¢s name and address, whenever referred to, and address them as ââ¬Å"Dear [name]â⬠. In the event that the beneficiary is as of now obscure (this would be likely on a scholarly application, for example), at that point use ââ¬Å"Dear Sir/Madamâ⬠or ââ¬Å"To whom it might concernâ⬠. It is regularly useful to present yourself in the main couple of lines of your letter. The beneficiary won't need your life history: simply give a concise sentence or two clarifying your position and your relationship to the up-and-comer. Your next section ought to affirm any realities which you realize the applicant will gracefully alongside your letter. For instance, on the off chance that you are composing a reference for an occupation candidate, a few or these subtleties might be suitable: The personââ¬â¢s work title, and job inside the organization. The personââ¬â¢s leaving compensation when they were last utilized by you (or your association). The dates which the individual was utilized from and until. In the event that you are composing a reference letter for a scholastic course, you should affirm the personââ¬â¢s scholarly evaluations. In your third section, you ought to give your judgment upon the candidateââ¬â¢s abilities and characteristics. It is regularly fitting to express that you would happily re-utilize them, or that their commitments to your school class were exceptionally esteemed. Single out any outstanding characteristics that the competitor has â⬠maybe their drive and energy, their tender loving care, or their capacity to lead. Where conceivable, utilize your fourth section to give a few solid instances of times when the up-and-comer exceeded expectations. (You might need to request that the competitor inform you regarding any extra-curricular activities theyââ¬â¢ve been associated with, or welcome them to feature anything theyââ¬â¢d especially like you to remember for the reference letter.) Close your letter on a positive note, and in the event that you are happy to get further correspondence about the candidateââ¬â¢s application, make this understood. Incorporate your contact subtleties as well. Likewise with any business letter, you should end fittingly; ââ¬Å"Yours sincerelyâ⬠when you are keeping in touch with a named beneficiary, and ââ¬Å"Yours faithfullyâ⬠when you don't have the foggiest idea who will get the letter. Things to stay away from Ensure that you stay away from: Referencing any shortcomings the up-and-comer has. Saying whatever could be translated as criticism. Writing in a casual way: keep the letter systematic. Jokes, slang and easygoing language are not proper and may hurt the competitors possibilities. Counting individual data not pertinent to the application. Referencing the candidateââ¬â¢s race, political position, religion, nationality, conjugal status, age or wellbeing is generally improper. Spelling botches, messy composition or grammatical errors: this letter is immensely essential to the competitor, and you should take care to make it look proficient. Reference Letter Examples There are various acceptable formats for reference letters accessible on Business Balls. Iââ¬â¢ve included one underneath, which would be fitting for a universally useful reference â⬠on the off chance that you were composing a reference in your ability as the candidateââ¬â¢s previous manager, you would need to incorporate progressively explicit subtleties: Date To the responsible party in question I affirm that I have known (name) for (number) years. (State relationship social, business, cooperating in some other limit, club, movement, venture, and so forth.) Consistently I have discovered (name/him/her) to be (state attributes eg, trustworthy, solid, persevering, reliable, legit, harmony cherishing, obliging, and so on to be as useful as conceivable consider what the peruser will most like to see, as far as fulfilling concerns, or seeing proof of applicable required aptitudes or qualities). Im glad to give additional data whenever required. (discretionary) Yours dependably, and so forth. You can discover instances of full reference letters on About.comââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"job searchingâ⬠area. They list letters suitable for a wide range of circumstances: hereââ¬â¢s one from a past business on the side of a vocation competitor: To Whom it May Concern: I enthusiastically suggest Jane Doe as a contender for work. Jane was utilized by Company Name as an Administrative Assistant from 2002 2005. Jane was liable for office support including word handling, planning arrangements and making pamphlets, bulletins, and other office writing. Jane has magnificent relational abilities. Furthermore, she is incredibly sorted out, solid and PC proficient. Jane can work freely and can finish to guarantee that the activity completes. She is adaptable and ready to chip away at any task that is doled out to her. Jane rushed to elect to aid different regions of organization activities, also. Jane would be a colossal resource for your organization and has my most elevated suggestion. In the event that you have any further inquiries with respect to her experience or capabilities, kindly don't stop for a second to call me. Genuinely, John Smith Title Organization Address Telephone Email On the off chance that you are as yet uncertain what best to remember for the reference letter, envision yourself in the situation of the candidateââ¬â¢s imminent manager, or of the board understanding his/her scholastic application. What data would they have to know? What characteristics would they like their contender to have? Clearly, you ought to never lie or delude in a reference letter, yet you should attempt to concentrate on zones which will give the beneficiary the most helpful data conceivable about the up-and-comer. Video Recap The most effective method to Ask for a Reference Letter In the event that youââ¬â¢re in the situation of requiring a reference from a past boss or from somebody who showed you at school or college, at that point you have to move toward them in a proper manner. ââ¬Å"Appropriateâ⬠may be very formal or very casual, contingent upon your relationship with them. For example, if youââ¬â¢re moving toward a teacher who showed you alongside many different understudies and who doesn't have any acquaintance with you well, itââ¬â¢s fitting to be very formal; if youââ¬â¢re moving toward your previous line director, who you shared evenings out and ends of the week away with for a considerable length of time, at that point being formal would appear to be abnormally aloof. In a genuinely formal setting, you may compose something like this: Dear (name) I trust everything is working out in a good way (at their organization/in their specialty). Iâ?

Astrology Forecast for the Class of 2023
Astrology Forecast for the Class of 2023 Its an incredibly exciting time of year, as the Class of 2023 is arriving to campus to begin their orientation to MIT. Im excited to connect with our newly enrolled class through a number of events over the next week. Tonight Ill be at a welcome dinner for students in FLIPOP, the new First-Gen/Low-Income Pre-Orientation Program designed to help students from marginalized backgrounds with their transition to MIT. Additionally, Ill be at a diversity and inclusion conversation hosted by the Office of Multicultural Programs, [emailprotected], and the Office of the First Year three amazing campus resources that are all here to help students navigate their college transition. In order to prepare, I reached out to Crissy on our Data Analysis Team (while you all still have plenty of time to think about future careers, if you love analyzing data, there are jobs at universities where you can use data to improve admissions processes and student support services!). Although Crissy was balancing many high-level projects this summer, I asked her to help me with one of the most important and high-stakes projects I have ever worked on: before I met the incoming class, I needed to know their astrological energy so I could best prepare myself. Here are the results *Disclaimer: The data for the US population birthdays comes from this website and were not too sure of its accuracy. Furthermore, we could only find data on US birthdays, but our incoming class comes from all over the world. Also, this is mostly just for fun, so just roll with it (unless you can find us better data!). DJs Forecast Whew, chile! Theres A LOT of Aquarius energy coming our way. In my honest opinion, Im not entirely surprised. Aquariuses are known for being the aliens of the zodiac. They tend to chart their own paths, think unconventionally, and are unique personalities. This sounds a lot like MIT to me. I think that many of our students arent confined by convention and are excited to tinker and think outside-of-the-box. Perhaps our incoming Aquariuses were great at navigating college fit the concept that there are some colleges that fit well for a students personality and joy, and others that do not. I can see an Aquarius coming to our Campus Preview Weekend in April and really finding their people here. We also seem to overrepresent in the Sagittarius department. Sags are known for their fire sign energy (explosive, loud) and also for genuinely finding joy in caring for others. Perhaps Sags faired well in our admissions process because they were able to connect to our mission of using STEM and other academic areas to make the world a better place. Sags not only like to go out into the world to adventure, but most Sags I know genuinely want to make the world better. What about Pisces and Scorpios? I have some guesses. Pisces are incredibly empathetic and great support systems for friends. I wonder if some of our Pisces applicants felt uncomfortable writing about themselves in their college essays, or procrastinated a bit because of caring for those around them. Any pisces applying this upcoming year know that we value your empathetic ways, but we want to learn about you in your college essays. Feel confident in writing about yourself (maybe start journaling now so you get used to it), and also let us know about the ways in which you care for and support your community in your essays. Also, start your apps now; procrastination is NOT your friend in the college app process. Scorpios, on the other hand, tend to be all about control. My guess is that some scorpios may have been too focused on controlling the process, that they werent able to let go. Perhaps they went to a college visit, and instead of sitting back and listening about the values and overall vibe of a campus community, they were taking notes on fine details and missing the larger messages about the campus. Or, instead of using their authentic voice in a college essay, they tried to be in control and write what they thought admissions officers wanted to hear (which, by the way, never works). Conclusions Should you no longer apply to MIT if youre a pisces or are you automatically accepted if youre an Aquarius? Certainly not! Again, were not completely positive that our US population data is 100% accurate, and regardless, you can still see that many students were admitted with all of the zodiac signs (its almost as if were not lying when we say we want to admit a well-balanced class of different types of students with different personality types and accomplishments). More importantly, if you havent caught on already, the advice I gave to each of the signs above is applicable to ALL applicants (furthermore, these are just sun signs there is a complicated astrological world with moon, rising, mercury, venus, and many other signs as well). And for current MIT community members, there seems to be a lot of air signs (aquarius, gemini, libra) coming to our campus this week. That means there will be a lot of great ideas and adventure coming our way, but maybe less organizational skills (which makes me, as someone who manages some students, both very excited for new projects and programs, and also very nervous about students not showing up to scheduled appointments or booking random weekend adventures on a whim). While I was hoping for more leos in our class (my own personal bias for my sign), I am very excited for all of the amazing first-year students to begin their journeys at MIT!

Salt Flats Formation, Activity, and Examples
Salt flats, also called salt pans, are large and flat areas of land that were once lake beds. Salt flats are covered with salt and other minerals and they oftentimes look white because of the salt presence. These areas of land generally form in deserts and other arid places where large bodies of water have dried up over thousands of years and the salt and other minerals are the remnants. There are salt flats found around the world but some of the largest examples include the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the Bonneville Salt Flats in the state of Utah and those found in Californiaââ¬â¢s Death Valley National Park.à Formation of Salt Flatsà According to the United Statesââ¬â¢ National Park Service, there are three basic things that are needed for salt flats to form. These are a source of salts, an enclosed drainage basin so the salts do not wash out and an arid climate where evaporation is greater than precipitation so the salts can get left behind when the water dries up (National Park Service).à An arid climate is the most important component of salt flat formation. In arid places, rivers with large, meandering stream networks are rare because of a lack of water. As a result, many lakes, if they exist at all, do not have natural outlets such as streams. Enclosed drainage basins are important because they hinder the formation of water outlets. In the western United States, for instance, there is the basin and range region in the states of Nevada and Utah. The topography of these basins consist of deep, flat bowls where the drainage is enclosed because water draining out of the region cannot climb up the mountain ranges surrounding the basins (Alden). Finally, the arid climate comes into play because evaporation must exceed precipitation in the water in the basins for the salt flats to eventually form. In addition to enclosed drainage basins and arid climates, there must also be an actual presence of salt and other minerals in the lakes for salt flats to form. All water bodies contain a variety of dissolved minerals and as lakes dry up through thousands of years of evaporation the minerals become solids and are dropped where the lakes once were. Calcite and gypsum are among some of the minerals found in water but salts, mostly halite, are found in large concentrations in some bodies of water (Alden). It is in places where halite and other salts are found in abundance that salt flats eventually form.à Salt Flat Examplesà Salar de Uyuni Large salt flats are found around the world in places such as the United States, South America, and Africa. The largest salt flat in the world is the Salar de Uyuni, located in the Potosi and Oruro, Bolivia. It covers 4,086 square miles (10,852 sq km) and is located at an elevation of 11,995 feet (3,656 m). The Salar de Uyuni is a part of the Altiplano plateau that formed as the Andes Mountains were uplifted. The plateau is home to many lakes and the salt flats formed after several prehistoric lakes evaporated over thousands of years. Scientists believe that the area was an extremely large lake called Lake Minchin around 30,000 to 42,000 years ago (Wikipedia.org). As Lake Minchin began to dry up due to a lack of precipitation and no outlet (the region is surrounded by the Andes Mountains) it became a series of smaller lakes and dry areas. Eventually, the Poopà ³ and Uru Uru lakes and the Salar de Uyuni and Salar de Coipasa salt flats were all that remained. The Salar de Uyuni is significant not only because of its very large size but also because it is a large breeding ground for pink flamingoes, it serves as a transportation route across the Altiplano and it is a rich area for the mining of valuable minerals such as sodium, potassium, lithium and magnesium. à Bonneville Salt Flatsà The Bonneville Salt Flats are located in the U.S. state of Utah between the border with Nevada and the Great Salt Lake. They cover about 45 square miles (116.5 sq km) and are managed by the United States Bureau of Land Management as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern and a Special Recreation Management Area (Bureau of Land Management). They are part of the United Statesââ¬â¢ Basin and Range system.à The Bonneville Salt Flats are a remnant of the very large Lake Bonneville that existed in the area about 17,000 years ago. At its peak, the lake was 1,000 feet (304 m) deep. According to the Bureau of Land Management, evidence for the lakeââ¬â¢s depth can be seen on the surrounding Silver Island Mountains. The salt flats began to form as precipitation decreased with a changing climate and the water in Lake Bonneville began to evaporate and recede. As the water evaporated, minerals such as potash and halite were deposited on the remaining soils. Eventually, these minerals built up and were compacted to form a hard, flat, and salty surface. Today the Bonneville Salt Flats are about 5 feet (1.5 m) thick at their center and just are just a few inches thick at the edges. The Bonneville Salt Flats are about 90% salt and consists of about 147 million tons of salt (Bureau of Land Management).à Death Valley The Badwater Basin salt flats located in Californiaââ¬â¢s Death Valley National Park cover about 200 square miles (518 sq km). It is believed that the salt flats are the remnants of the ancient Lake Manly that filled Death Valley about 10,000 to 11,000 years ago as well as more active weather processes today. The main sources of Badwater Basinââ¬â¢s salt are what was evaporated from that lake but also from Death Valleyââ¬â¢s nearly 9,000-square mile (23,310 sq km) drainage system that extends to the peaks surrounding the basin (National Park Service). During the wet season precipitation falls on these mountains and then runs off into the very low elevation Death Valley (Badwater Basin is, in fact, the lowest point in North America at -282 feet (-86 m)). In wet years, temporary lakes form and during the very hot, dry summers this water evaporates and minerals such as sodium chloride are left behind. After thousands of years, a salt crust has formed, creating salt flats.à Activities on Salt Flatsà Because of the large presence of salts and other minerals, salt flats are often places that are mined for their resources. In addition, there are many other human activities and development that have taken place on them because of their very large, flat nature. The Bonneville Salt Flats, for example, are home to land speed records, while the Salar de Uyuni is an ideal place for calibrating satellites. Their flat nature also makes them good travel routes and Interstate 80 runs through a portion of the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Speak a little less, listen a little more Most people receive pleasure from speaking about themselves. But, here we have to be careful; if we always speak about our achievements, trials or tribulations, people will not find an interest in talking to us. If we are willing and able to listen to others, we will find it much appreciated by our friends. Some people are not aware of how much they try to take control of the conversation. 2. The importance of maintaining harmony? A lot of problems in relationships occur because we want to maintain our personal pride. Donââ¬â¢t insist on always having the last word. Healthy relationships are not built through winning an argument. Pulling away from the argument will help to see what is important or not so important in the conversation. 3. Avoiding Gossip Avoid commenting on your friendship failures or their weakness, more then likely your friends, family etc. will eventually hear about it. Most importantly we weaken our relationships when we dwell on all the negative qualities. Avoid gossiping about anybody. 4. Hinduism Samsara Free Essays
Samsara is a Sanskrit word meaning the endless cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth that is considered to be experienced by all humans in the Upanishads and in Buddhism. It is the repeated passingof souls through different worlds. Thus, Samsara is commonly known as ââ¬Å"the wheel of lifeâ⬠in Hinduism. We will write a custom essay sample on Hinduism: Samsara or any similar topic only for you Order Now Also, Samsara refers to the general, day-to-day struggles and obstacles man experiences throughout life. Samsara exists in many religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Vaishnavism, and other related religions. According to these religions, one has a karmic ââ¬Å"account balanceâ⬠when he or she reaches death that will determine oneââ¬â¢s destiny when a person is reborn. In Hinduism, ego-consciousness of the body and the phenomenal world comes from ignorance of oneââ¬â¢s true self. This means that through egoism and personal desire, people are creating the basis for their next life or ââ¬Å"future becomingâ⬠. The path of Samsara can only be overcome by attaining a sense of selflessness and having oneââ¬â¢s soul (atman) follow its own version of Samsaraâ⬠¦repeatedly reincarnating. Samsara is a very interesting concept to me and I am fascinated by the stories Iââ¬â¢ve heard from Buddhist friends of mine. Iââ¬â¢ve enjoyed the company of my Buddhist friend,Betty, because Iââ¬â¢ve learned so much from her as we both have shared our religions with each otherâ⬠¦ me being muslim and her being Buddhist. Our religions are completely different from one another so I was very curious to know what she believes and how reincarnation and Samsara play a role in her life. Iââ¬â¢ve known Betty for over five years and I never thought of her to be a very religious person because she did not throw her religion at people or talk about it all the time. I ended up finding out that she prayed on a daily basis and she was very strong in her religion as a Buddhist. She was always very relaxed and positive, but the best thing about her is how she naturally helped others with no expectation of anything in return. She is so giving and selfless, and it is very humbling to see the things she does for others. She never tries to convert others when religion is brought up like most people do. She is absolutely beautiful as well, and she has very high morals and values that she lives by. She is just a great person and I would always think back at our friendship and appreciate her so much because she is one of my only friends that has not wronged me. One day Bettytold me that the first time she saw her Buddhist monk she felt like she knew him, but could never figure out where from. He was drawn to her and was very interested in her life. She was flattered by this, but she did not understand why he took such major interest in her. After months of talking, she still could not tell where she knew his familiar face from. As her story went on, I found out that the Buddhist monk finally told her why he was so interested in her personality and the way she lived he life. He told her that she was an angel in the past life that had helped him in a life crisis situation. I was shocked, but at the same time, it made sense considering how great of a person she was and all the beautiful things she did for others. How to cite Hinduism: Samsara, Papers

Religious Tolerance
In spite of the constant existence of religious fanaticism and prejudice experienced in most parts of the word, there has been a notable growth in religious tolerance.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Religious Tolerance specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The view that diverse religions as well as spiritual customs have a suitable approach has recently become more prevalent. In the contemporary world, religion is continually being characterized by the adherence of one true religion. In the past, some religions were viewed with a lot of contempt and were usually seen as forms of myths or superstitions. This notwithstanding, the concept of religious harmony is progressively being embraced by many nations which adhere to many religions. This essay presents an outlook of some of the major religions practiced throughout the world and the extent to which they have contributed to religious tolerance. These religions includ e, Hindu-Buddhist, Chinese Religion as well as Abrahamic monotheism. Hindu-Buddhist In order to indicate religious tolerance, some aspects of Buddhism have been incorporated in Hinduism. For instance, in Hinduism, Buddha is usually seen as an Avatar of Vishnu. As recorded by the Puranic text Bhagavata Purana, among the twenty-five avatars, Buddha is the twenty-fourth avatar predicting an impending incarnation. Moreover, the majority of Hindu customs describe Buddha as the latest among the ten principal avatars that are identified as the DaÃ
âºÃ vatà ra, which means the Ten Incarnations of God (Fernandez, 2010). However, Buddhaââ¬â¢s traditions are said to oppose the authority of the Vedas as a result of which Buddhism is regarded as heterodox school. Owing to the variety of teachings within Hinduism, there is no definite perspective or agreement on the Buddhaââ¬â¢s precise position with regards to the Vedic tradition. The position of the Buddha as the avatar who principal ly endorsed non-violence continues to be an accepted conviction in several contemporary Vaishnava organizations which include ISKCON (Stietencron, 2005). Moreover, other outstanding contemporary proponents of Hinduism, who include Vivekananda as well as Radhakrishnan, regard Buddha as an instructor of an unchanged universal truth that triggers all other religions represented in the world. According to these proponents, Hinduism is distinctively valuable as it recognizes the fact that all religions are one. The Vaishnava sect of Maharashtra, identified as Varkari, adores Lord Vithoba. Despite the fact that Vithoba is generally viewed as form of little Krishna, for several years, there have been a strong conviction that Vithoba is a form of Buddha.Advertising Looking for essay on religion theology? The representation of Vithoba as an avatar of Vishnu has mostly been associated with Buddha in an effort to incorporate Buddhism within the Hindu customs. Traditions of Buddha have also been uniquely integrated in Varkari Vaishnavism as well as the conventional Vedic values. In an attempt to explore the contemporary Hindu opinion on Buddhism, it is important to consider the question of whether, or to what extent, Buddhism is a component of Hinduism. Even though the integrity of Hinduism, cannot be weakened in case all the exclusively Buddhist elements were left out, some Hinduism details would definitely be insufficiently elaborated or less emphasized. In most cases, the Buddhist fundamentals do not differ from the Atmanists, even though they represent a more elaborate statement of the law of causality as the indispensable mark of the world of Becoming (Stietencron, 2005). The Chinese Religion China is a country that is usually known for its widespread d iversity in religious beliefs. The major religions in China include Taoism, Buddhism, Islam, Protestantism as well as Catholicism. According to the Chinese constitution, the citizens of the country are allowed to choose and express their religious values and affiliations freely. According to recent research, there are approximately 100 million followers that adhere to a variety of religious faiths, at least 85,000 sites where religious functions can be held, around 300,000 clergy and more than 3,000 religious organizations in China (Fernandez, 2010). Furthermore, China has at least 76 religious schools as well as colleges which are mainly run by religious organizations guiding the clerics. In China, Buddhism records a history of about 2,000 years. Today, the country holds 13,000 Buddhist temples which contain at least 200,000 Buddhist monks and nuns. In addition, China has about 3,000 Tibetan Buddhism temples and almost 10,000 Bhiksu and senior nuns, and not less than 1,600 temples of Pali Buddhism. On the other hand, Taoism, is native to China, and records a history of not less than 1,700 years. Currently, the country has about 1,600 Taoist temples and not less than 25,000 Taoist monks as well as clerics. Conversely, Islam and Catholicism came into China during the seventh century.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Religious Tolerance specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Currently, China has at least ten national minorities, 18 million of whom come from Hui and Uygur, who mainly conform to the Islamic faith. China has a minimum of 30,000 mosques which are mainly directed by 40,000 Akhunds and Imams. On the other hand, Catholicism did not spread widely until after the Opium War in 1840. Today, China has a minimum of four million Catholics, led by 4,000 clergy. However, Protestantism was introduced in China at the beginning of the 19th century. The religion only spread widely after the Opium War. At present, China has at least 10 million Protestants, 18,000 clergy and 12,000 protestant churches. Furthermore, China has several religious organizations which include; Taoist Association of China, Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association, Buddhist Association of China, Islamic Association of China, China Christian Council, Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of China and Chinese Catholic Bishopsââ¬â¢ College. In China, the religious leaders as well as the leading bodies in most religious organizations are often ordained with regards to their distinctive set of laws. In China, all the major religious activities are mainly held at designated sites or in believersââ¬â¢ homes in harmony with the normal religious customs such as the worship of Buddha, church going, rehearsing scriptures, praying, observing Mass, baptizing followers, monkhood instigation, fasting, commemorating religious festivals among others. In China, all these activities are prot ected by the Chinese constitution, the dealings of religious bodies as well as the believers and hence are not liable to be interfered with. This notwithstanding, the 1976 Cultural Revolution in China had a devastating outcome especially on the aspect of religion. However, in an attempt to correct the mistakes of the Cultural Revolution, the Chinese government made great efforts to revitalize and execute the policy of freedom of worship. It also rectified the unfair and false cases which had been imposed on religious personages, and revived several sites for religious activities. As a matter of fact, since 1980, above 600 Protestant churches are built annually. Moreover, by 1996 at least 18 million Bibles had been produced. This was achieved through some special tax exception treatment which hastened the publication. In addition, at least 8.5 million hymn books have already been dispensed. Furthermore, between 1958 and 1995 128 Catholic bishops had been ordained by the Chinese Catho lic church. During this period, at least 900 young Catholic priests have been teaches and persuades the religious leaders to unite all religious believers in order to dynamically contribute to the development of the country. The religious believers in China have developed a habit of loving their nation and respecting other religions.Advertising Looking for essay on religion theology? Let's see if we can help you! This can be seen in instances where the Buddhists engage in activities that honor the country and assist the citizens, the Catholics and Protestants worship God and support the people, the Taoists undertake compassionate, diplomatic and harmonious activities, saving the people and the Islamââ¬â¢s pray to Allah to reward this world at present and in future. All the Chinese religions have equivalent status and co-exist in harmony. As a matter of fact, religious disagreements are rare in China. A big percentage of religious followers as well as the non-believers acknowledge and revere each other. For these reasons, the religions in China indicate the influence of Chinese compatibility and religious tolerance, and the implementation of the right of religious belief. China has set up a politico-religious relationship that matches to the countryââ¬â¢s national conditions . Abrahamic Monotheism The term monotheism originates from the Greek term ââ¬Ëmonosââ¬â¢, which signifies one and ââ¬Ëtheosââ¬â¢, representing god. Therefore, monotheism can be described as a belief in the existence of one god. Since monotheism is based on the notion that only one god exists, those who conform to monotheism also believe that this god formed all that exists in the world and is thus entirely independent. This is what is presented in Abrahamic monotheism which comprises Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Sikhism (Fernandez, 2010). With regards to Islam, God is represented as undifferentiated, everlasting, incomparable and not by any means anthropomorphic. However, several of these monotheistic religions are often limited in nature. They not only believe in one god but also rebuff the existence of the gods of any religious denominations. At times, the followers of monotheistic religions view other alleged gods as elements or manifestations of their single utm ost god. However, this is rare and mainly happens when shifting from polytheism to monotheism, when explaining why other gods should be done away with. In view of Christianity, God is represented as being anthropomorphic as he is signified by three persons in one. For this reasons, monotheistic religions worship different types of gods. The main thing that they have in common is the focus on a distinct god. Abrahamic Monotheism has its source from Abraham who was Jewish. According to the biblical book of Genesis, Abraham, together with his household, obeyed the instructions of their God whom they referred to as Yahweh. Abrahamââ¬â¢s people developed into the people of Israel who produced Judaism, the initial monotheistic religion, and only prayed to Yahweh their god. This was during the second millennium B.C. Later, in the first millennium CE both Christianity and Islam based their teachings upon Judaism and came up with novel religions that worshiped this god. As it expanded, Ch ristianity spread to several parts of the world. It was mainly established around the Mediterranean Sea and then spread to Europe and into other continents in the mid-second millennium CE, during the era of colonization. Today, Christianity has become widespread especially in North America and southern America, Australia and in some parts of Africa. On the other hand, Islam rapidly spread into the Middle East and the northern half of Africa, from where it headed eastwards, colonizing the Indian sub-continent and spread into Indonesia and Malaysia which currently composes the most crowded Muslim nation. Currently, Christianity contains approximately one third of the worldââ¬â¢s population, which is about 2.3 billion people. On the other hand, Islam follows with approximately one quarter of the worldââ¬â¢s population, which comprises around1.8 billion followers. The third largest religion is Hinduism which emanated from India. The nation has approximately one billion followers w hich is about 14 percent of the worldââ¬â¢s population. The majority of Buddhists reside in Asia, and their population ranges from 300 to 350 million followers. As a result of the exclusivity that characterize monotheistic religions, they have been seen to display less religious tolerance as compared to polytheistic religions such as Hindu-Buddhist which has managed to integrate the gods and values of other denominations with relative ease. Abrahamic monotheism can only achieve this without admitting it and while refuting any authenticity or legitimacy to othersââ¬â¢ faiths. In conclusion, it is clear that Abrahamic monotheism comprise the largest religions in the world. Religious tolerance in these religions is limited as they are characterized by little unity as both Islam and Christianity are highly wary of each other. Most religious groups under Abrahamic monotheism scarcely, acknowledge that they are members of the same religious body. For these reasons, Abrahamic monothe ism contains several, wrangling members. On the other hand, the Chinese religions indicate more compatibility and religious tolerance which is seen through the mutual religious relationship that exists in the country. Moreover, Hinduism and Buddhism represent immense religious tolerance as they are seen to incorporate aspects of each otherââ¬â¢s beliefs. However, governments and religious leaders should endeavor to revitalize and execute the policies of freedom of worship and thus promote religious tolerance. Reference List Fernandez, F. (2011).
